It's a sad fact of life that once you get married you see your parents less frequently. However, that all changes with grand-babies (i.e. four visits in four months). Apparently someone can't get enough of those big blue eyes.
The six of us spent Saturday listening to General Conference and doing whatever we could think of to get that little boy to smile. I love General Conference. It doesn't matter what stage of life I'm in or what I'm struggling with, by the end I am filled with a sense of comfort, my trials are put into perspective, and my life gains new purpose and direction.
In between sessions we took advantage of the warm spring weather and broke in our baby carrier with a short stroll around the park. I can't wait to go hiking!
I was scheduled to work Sunday, but thanks to one very sweet co-worker I got to spend the day with family instead. We started out with a trip to Mama Burrows' house for breakfast and the morning session of Conference.
Then we moved on to my Grandma and Grandpa Nielson's for lunch and the final afternoon session.
And we finished up at my Grandma and Grandpa Fredley's place for dinner. After being well fed physically and spiritually we went home for some much needed sleep (Colby woke up seven times Saturday night and by the end of the day Robb and I were dragging).
Isn't it funny how grandbabies attract parental attention? haha. We were in Seattle that weekend, but I got to see your mom real quick before she left town to see you! And we borrowed Colby's little bed for Elise (thank you thank you)I hope all is well!
