Chalk Art Festival 2012

The Chalk Art festival is the Utah Foster Care Foundation's annual fund raiser.  This was our second time going because a) there are an incredible amount of talented people in this area and b) it's free (we're still poor college students, don't judge).  It also happened to be Salt Lake City's Reading Fair, which meant the place was packed.  

Who knew so many children's stories featured foster kids?

Although the artwork was amazing, Colby didn't appreciate the excessive heat, our attempts to keep his too-small hat in place, or the black, heat-absorbing interior of his stroller  (Robb, Jory, Em, and I took turns hauling him around).

And so it was with some relief that we returned our small, sweaty son back to his car seat and drove home.
