Moving on

Robb had an on-campus interview awhile back that in his words, "didn't go well."  The interviewer asked awkward questions (like "what is your greatest accomplishment in the last week?") and they just didn't seem to click.  Anyway, the awkward interview led to a second, over-the-phone interview, which led to an invitation to attend an on-site hiring event, which led to an amazing job offer.

So we're moving to Tucson, Arizona around the end of August.

I've never been to Arizona (besides the Grand Canyon) and the most consistent thing I hear from people who have is "it's hot." I'm a little bi-polar about the move, some days I'm completely on-board and feeling stoked about the prospect of pool time, amazing Mexican food, and discovering the beauty of the desert and other days I panic over the lack of trees (or greenery of any sort) and increased distance from family and friends.

I'm excited, but not as excited as I'd like to be.  Luckily, I have 3 months and 25 days to change all that :)

  1. Congrats to Robb on the job!! I totally understand the mixed feelings; we did not plan to stay in Utah, but have had many experiences in the last 3 years that confirmed this is where we're supposed to be.
